Updated road rescue numbers from AAA

Conn. (WTNH) — With frigid conditions and freezing temperatures, AAA’s roadside rescue team has helped more than 3,000 people so far this workweek.

With the deep freeze expected to continue through today, they’re only expecting more calls. Here’s how many people they’ve helped so far this week:

  • Monday – 1,104 calls (including 302 battery problems, 118 flat tires and 92 lockouts)
  • Tuesday –  1,128 calls (including 334 battery problems, 128 flat tires and 107 lockouts)
  • Wednesday – 1,144 calls (including 328 battery problems, 132 flat tires and 92 lockouts)
  • Thursday – 81 calls (as of 7am)

The numbers are for emergency road service in Greater Hartford and eastern Connecticut-Hartford, Middlesex, Tolland, Windham and New London counties.
